National Telecommunications Company National Product Rollout
| |
Problem:
| |
A leading telecommunications company was experiencing
phenomenal growth within their organization while it was launching its Dial Around long distance products. Competition was fierce; this firm was vying for market share via direct mail only while competing against a media blitz of television, radio and newspaper campaigns featuring prominent celebrity spokespersons.
| |
Internal IT resources were being dedicated to the corporation's core
competencies. Subsequently the Dial Around Marketing team was in need of a highly responsive, flexible, external database partner to support their new product launch in an always changing, fast paced environment.
| |
Solution:
| |
TEF was selected as the preferred database partner and was off and running.
| |
Within four weeks, TEF:- Loaded 100 million records of historical acquisition program data
from multiple sources with multiple formats
- Built a Promotional History Database
- Produced detailed reporting on historical solicitations
- Produced a highly segmented 15 million record acquisition
program
- Produced a customer retention program supporting two products
- Fulfilled ad hoc report and extract requests within 24 to 48 hours
| |
The client also needed to tie actual usage to the acquisition and retention programs for tracking profitability. Raw Call Data Record (CDR) files were transmitted to TEF for production of weekly reporting that tracked acquisition response, profitability and attrition for all current programs. The average CDR file contained 3.5 million records. TEF delivered reports within 48 hours of receipt of inbound data files.
| |
Result:
| |
The client more than doubled their customer base within a twelve
month period, far exceeding their projections. TEF supported the
client's marketing executives with ongoing business information
critical to achieving this growth. TEF produced the client's
quarterly acquisition programs (totaling over 80 million records) as
well as quarterly retention programs. Typically, processing for
these programs occurred in less than five business days to
accommodate the client's tight timelines.
| |
TEF built and continues to maintain / update all databases needed to support the client's marketing efforts and the full lifecycle of their products.
